Just Who is 'Ed Mezvinsky', Anyway...?

Well, former Democrat congressman for starters...

Edward Mezvinsky (1.17.1937) represented Iowa 's 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives for a full two terms, 1973 to 1977. Following several unsuccessful attempts at winning a US Senate seat in the 80s, Mezvinsky's political career was shelved while second wife Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky entered the US House herself in 1993...

A typical career-path from there led to greedy, corrupt Democrat Ed Mezvinsky indicted and eventually pleading guilty to 31/69 charges of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud in 2001. Nearly $10 million was involved in the "Nigerian email" scams Fast Eddie pioneered in order to fleece so many... what a lowlife. You've all received this sort of scam-spam in the past, and now know who to thank for the innovation.

After serving five years in federal prison, Mezvinsky was released in April 2008. But he remains on federal probation until later this year, and has yet to cough-up $9M+ in court-ordered restitution to the many hapless victims.

Another interesting thing about this dubious character and convicted felon Ed Mezvinsky... the guy's also Chelsea Clinton's new father-in-law... nice.

Nary a peep of this from any of the MSM- nothing. If this clip artist/convicted felon was the father of -say- Bristol Palin's groom... can you imagine, there'd be hour-long, prime-time specials.

But it's not like Chelsea made some controversial choice that runs the risk of besmirching the family reputation: the Clintons and Mezvinskys go way back- and the lot of them are rotten to the core:

In 1993, Margolies-Mezvinsky -then a freshman Democrat- cast the vote that got President Clinton's controversial tax package through the House of Representatives.

"She earned an honored place in history, with a vote she shouldn't have had to cast" Bill Clinton wrote in his 2004 memoir "My Life".

On a darker note, federal prosecutors said Ed Mezvinsky habitually dropped the Clintons' names and boasted of their friendship during the 1990s as he defrauded family, friends, and institutions out of $10M...
